THE CLUB HANDBOOK

A feel for the game goes a long way.

Ballometry is a sports stats guessing game. Read a real chart, draw the missing part, then discover the story behind the numbers.

Five charts. Your sporting instinct.

Each round gives you a subject, a time axis and clearly labelled units. Part of the line is visible; your job is to draw the hidden section. Sometimes you continue a story into later seasons. Sometimes you fill a gap between two visible stretches.

Every scheduled UTC date has one shared five-sport lineup, drawn from 25 categories. Football, basketball and Formula 1 can share the calendar with cycling, cricket, swimming, fencing and many more. The next-edition countdown appears only when another edition is actually scheduled.

Press, drag, draw.

Hold your mouse button or touch the chart and drag through the shaded area to shape the line. Set every missing position before revealing. Drag a point up or down to adjust one value; values elsewhere stay in place. Undo restores the previous edit, and Clear lets you start fresh.

Prefer a keyboard? Tab to a chart point, then use Up and Down to adjust its value. Left and Right move between points; Page Up and Page Down make bigger adjustments. Enter sets an unfilled point to the starting value. Visible anchors stay fixed. There is no timer, speed bonus or hint penalty.

How scoring works

Each round is worth up to 100 points, for a total of 500. Only hidden data positions count. We average the distance between your guesses and the actual values, then compare that miss with the chart’s vertical range. A perfect prediction earns 100; a miss averaging 40% of the range or more earns zero.

For example, on a 0–100 points chart, an average miss of 10 points earns 75. “Skip and reveal” earns zero. After each reveal you can compare labelled lines, see your average miss in the original units and read the source.

Finish, share, play again

Your results show all five comparisons. Share your score without giving away the answers. Your first completed result is preserved in this browser; practice uses a separate scorecard. Progress is saved on this device when browser storage is available.

No account is needed. Your scorebook shows daily streaks and results by sport, plus export/import backups. Preview and practice scores stay outside daily stats. Clearing browser data loses progress without a backup. Learn more about Ballometry and its data sources.
