YOUR PRIVACY, YOUR CALL

Play on your terms.

Your game works whether you allow usage analytics or decline. You can change your choice using “Privacy & analytics” at the bottom of any page.

Progress stays in your browser

Ballometry stores your guesses, saved drawings, revealed rounds and first completed scores in this browser so you can resume. Streaks and category results are calculated from those records. Practice is saved separately. Your analytics preference is also remembered here.

Clearing browser data removes progress unless you have exported a backup from your scorebook. Backup export/import runs on your device; the game does not upload that file. Backups contain saved games and results, excluding analytics identifiers and privacy choices. Store them somewhere you trust. A future signed-in account may explicitly import them as unverified historical scores; accounts and automatic sync are not available now.

Optional usage analytics

If you allow analytics, Ballometry uses PostHog EU Cloud to measure page visits, game starts and resumes, completed or skipped rounds, scores, help usage, practice, score copying, and backup export/import counts. A browser identifier lets us recognise repeat visits without asking for an account or name. Backup contents and filenames are not sent.

PostHog also receives technical information such as browser/device details, referring site and campaign information from links. Requests reach its servers with your IP address. We remove query strings and fragments from recorded page URLs, and retain only the origin of referring-page URLs. We do not send drawings, guess values, clipboard contents, or form input contents. Session recordings and automatic interaction capture are disabled.

Analytics is not loaded before permission. Declining keeps it off; withdrawing stops future collection and asks PostHog to clear its browser persistence. It does not automatically erase previously received events. Local development analytics is disabled by default.

Your choices

Use “Privacy & analytics” to allow or turn off analytics. Browser restrictions and blockers may prevent collection even after you allow it. Ballometry does not currently use advertising trackers or account-based identification.

For information about the analytics provider, read PostHog’s privacy policy.
